ShopKitty Picks helps you ask friends before you buy or wear it. We keep this simple: we only collect what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and there are no ads.
What we collect
- Your name — shown to friends on the requests you share.
- Your email (optional) — used only to sync your picks across devices. It is never shown to friends.
- Your requests — the product links, photos, prices, notes, and feedback categories you add.
- Votes and comments — the responses friends leave when they open your link.
- Suggestions — any feedback you send us through the app.
How we use it
- To create your vote requests and show results to you and the friends you share links with.
- To fetch a product's image, title, and price from the link you paste.
- To sync your picks across devices when you add an email.
- To improve the app based on suggestions you choose to send.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
- We don't show ads or use advertising trackers.
- We don't make your requests public — only people with your link can see them.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service: cloud hosting for the app and database, image hosting for photos you upload, and a link-preview step that reads public metadata from the product page you paste. These providers process data only to deliver ShopKitty Picks.
Storage and retention
On the web, some data (like your name and a copy of your picks) is stored in your browser's local storage so the app works quickly. Requests you create are kept until you delete them. Deleting a request removes it from our systems.
Your choices
- Delete any request at any time from the "My picks" screen.
- Leave the email field blank if you'd rather not sync across devices.
- Contact us to request deletion of your data.
Children
ShopKitty Picks is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and post the new version here.
